Through a series of biodesign workshops and public engagement activities, I have worked with diverse audiences to introduce and critically explore the field of biodesign as an interdisciplinary practice situated at the intersection of design, biology, and systems thinking.
These workshops focus on engaging participants with living systems as active agents within design processes, rather than passive materials. Emphasis is placed on understanding organisms and microbial ecologies through situated, process-oriented approaches that foreground observation, experimentation, and iterative making.
